Signed up from an Asian country and during signup they asked me to upload a passport copy page.

I thought that was weird (I mean no other cloud provider asked for it but okay). I uploaded anyway because I thought it’s in EU so they at least have better privacy laws so they may end up deleting it later from their systems but I immediately got rejected. Not sure why no reason specified. So now they have my passport copy page without me having an account.

Oh well, seems like either they have an overly aggressive spam filter that gets false positives or they don’t really like accepting signups from Asia

It happened over many months. I was a student at that time and had a poor diet. Mostly ate vegan food with lots of fruit.

I have had numerous tests done and everything came back as normal. Following fodmap diet currently but it’s very restrictive. Almost everything triggers my ibs symptoms

Exactly have the same experience as you. After I got diagnosed with IBS, I started having pretty huge personality changes lasting to this day.

No idea the path to recovery is

To balance my critique, I would add that I found that tabulator had support for most number of features out of the box of all that I tested and was the easiest to customize

I was recently evaluating a few of these to display large number of items (tabulator, aggrid, custom solution using react-virtualized etc)

Unfortunately if you are planning to use tabulator (in an enterprise environment for example), I would advice against it for a few reasons:

- No tests (atleast I did not find them when I looked into it)

- I dont normally critique the codebase but I found it to be a bit unorganized and that did not inspire confidence. Basically I found it be non DRY. However I found it easy to understand and make changes

- Being developed by one person and I found little support and response when I raised issues and PR

Not sure why you are being sarcastic. Being poor doesn’t mean people don’t deserve privacy. In fact it can enable for more business opportunities.

Government doesn’t operate in series on an issue one by one. This is why you have so many ministries in the govt. Just because roads don’t exist doesn’t mean govt should stop building railways and only think of roads.

There is no such thing as unlisting a number, atleast last time we tried multiple times but it still keeps showing up

Indias privacy laws are truly lacking. I am surprised that the government hasn’t enacted any laws for this yet.

I have a number of stories for this. Indians are so used to this that sometimes people are shocked when I say no to sharing information that they request.

For example in a startup, the HR reached out on WhatsApp to all employees in a group and asked for certain documents and information etc.

About Truecaller: - It’s default opt in (with almost no way to opt out*)

- It requires access to your entire contact list - to mitigate this, I request Apple and Google to implement folders for contacts or something similar to how you can limit access to all photos on iOS per app. That way you can create an empty folder and share it with Truecaller

- It’s also impossible to change the wrong data that Truecaller somehow gets from some other contact list

My sibling recently got a new number and Truecaller assumed some other name and identity. Fellow Indians believe Truecaller more than they believe the person they are talking to (shows how much spam gets passed around)

This is NOT just TrueCaller. The same thing happens with Paytm and other payment apps.

Paytm for example assumed another identity and they requested us to submit multiple docs to prove our identity even though we never used the platform before. Even after multiple attempts and submitting multiple ids they refuse to change the data

Yes of course. I did low-fodmap for many months few years ago and continue to do it (when I go to an unknown place for example or travel).

In studies Low-fodmap is typically only recommended for ~6 weeks. I now try to eat any kind food though, I eat everything in smaller quantities and this also helps.

I personally found that a combination of diet, stress, sleep control are the most effective for managing IBS symptoms. Any one of those can flare up the symptoms at any time and managing all of them is key

Thank you, appreciate the breakdown. With so much focus on the gut research recently I feel like we are on the cusp of bringing together lots of things and new understandings and that hopefully happens soon

Personally kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha - all give me lots of bloating even after trying out for weeks. Maybe thats just how its supposed to be? Not sure but I stopped after a while after it affected my daily life
