Same, but I suspect that I don't have any issues with hitting caps because I actually still do plenty of the thinking myself, and just use the AI to help accelerate some of the boring stuff I don't want to do myself. This has been especially nice for my personal projects at home. It has made me much more likely to actually want to work on my side projects when I don't have to deal with some of the tedium after working on my company's tedium all day.

I suspect that most of these people who are burning through thousands of dollars worth of tokens at home are largely producing big ol' piles of slop.

In all honesty, trying to shoehorn the CC apps to run on Linux just isn't a viable solution. As someone that does a ton of photo and video stuff it was a sticking point for me for quite awhile as well. Luckily, I don't make my living from my photography, so I was finally able to just dive head first into the open-source tools to start figuring out a new workflow.

So, I like the idea of having an easy way to check for naming conflicts, but as others have said, the implementation definitely needs some work.

As others have pointed out, it seems very unreliable and there isn't really any feedback given to the user that the app is actually working, waiting for a response, failed to get a response, etc.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm getting beyond fed up with Microsoft's crap, but unfortunately it's either them or Apple (which isn't much better) for a number of the tools I need access to. If only Linux could get competitive in the video editing space :(

The funny thing is that I was literally just wondering about how shells are implemented right before getting on HN. Thanks for sharing, this should prove most useful :)

Fair enough. To be honest I was lost in terms of titling it and kept bouncing back and forth between different titles :)

I've been considering trying my hand at creating a bittorrent client. This should prove to be most helpful!

I am from and live in Cincinnati. As some others have stated, this article greatly overstates the changes that's occurred in OTR. Yes, parts of Vine and Race street have been cleaned up a great deal, but go just a street over, or even a little further on said streets and you are right back in an area that is anything but the "good" part of town.

It's not at all uncommon to go into these areas and see sights such as drug deals and prostitution occurring right out in the open. When I worked for Kroger (which, granted, has been several years now), they used to have to keep a police presence at the Vine street store because it was so common to have problems there. Sadly, much of OTR is still what I would consider urban plight.

From seeing some of the suggestions here I think I will extend this with two more articles:

1) Some more detail about how the low level of the computer actually works 2) A more "beginner friendly" guide to getting started in programming assembly.

Doh! Just when you think you've found all the editing mistakes :)
