Good point, but if we can't rely on the law to help us what will be left?

I wonder if one can make a request for information (Freedom of Information Act) about data personally held from the government?

Kudos | Software Engineer | Oxford, UK | Full Time, ONSITE, https://www.growkudos.com

Kudos is a start-up innovating in the digital publishing space, focused on helping researchers demonstrate and increase the influence of their work.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing team, someone who enjoys working collaboratively, are comfortable learning new things and who will be eager to learn about all aspects of our platform. Each team member works on every part of the system, from the front end, to the back, to managing our infrastructure. Some of the technologies we are using, or are about to use, include JavaScript, Ruby, Go, Kubernetes, MySQL and Elasticsearch, running on AWS and GCP.

Rather than looking for engineers with specific technology skills we'd much rather you can demonstrate the characteristics of a good Software Engineer, with the ability and enthusiasm to learn new things along the way.

Check out our Stackoverflow page for more details https://stackoverflow.com/jobs/companies/kudos-innovations or email [email protected]

This link didn't generate the interest I thought it would get. A lot of interesting people are interviewed in this ebook like Peter Seibel.

> The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) faces unique challenges in open sourcing its code. Unlike most software projects, code written by U.S. Federal government employees typically doesn’t have copyright protections under U.S. and some international laws. This can make it hard to attach an open source license to our code, and our team here at Defense Digital Service wants to find a solution. Read about our journey so far here.
