> e.g., the (x) button on notifications do not display unless a mouse is hovering over the notification badge

Same applies to spaces where there's also delay applied before it appears for whatever reason. It would be nice if this fixed (on non-touch Macs as well).

Apple could do this by allowing you to run macOS on an iPad. Magic Keyboard is detachable and doubles as a cover/case. Without it, it's a tablet. With it, it's a laptop with reasonable compromises. SoCs in some iPads are the same as in some MacBooks. It's just software that's letting it down.

> A Tesla Model 3 weighs less than any new pickup truck for sale today.

I'm an EV fan but this is apples to oranges comparison. EV vehicles are substantially heavier than their ICE counterparts. Their instant torque also wears tread quicker. That's just facts and there's nothing wrong with that. The world is not black and white.

I'm also convinced software engineering tools like git and markdown are currently the best way to use AI for most things even unrelated to software development. E.g., I think using markdown notes + LaTeX + git for writing contracts is more efficient than using Word + Copilot, which are the tools I would expect a lawyer to use.

I wouldn't/don't really feel comfortable uploading private pictures to any other cloud provider either :). I find OpenAI especially untrustworthy because of their known business practices, unestablished business model and unknown future capabilities and role in society. You cannot take that data back once they have it. The condescending tone was unasked for, apologies to OP for that.

I wouldn't feel comfortable uploading a picture of my child to OpenAI servers (for fun nonetheless), but you do you.

In an ideal capitalistic world billionaires are people that provide most value to society, yes. In the real world it’s questionable to say the least because they usually do not do fair win-win business, they do cutthroat “I’m gonna abuse my position to the absolute limit, what are you gonna do about it, you have no other choice” business. People that don’t do that don’t end up billionaires because they can’t compete with those that do.
