About: I'm a product engineer with over 15 years of experience taking products from 0 to 1. I work across the full stack, from design systems and frontend to backend and infrastructure. I've shipped products across AI, FinTech, media, insurance, and health. Most recently I led a product redesign across an AI suite at Miðeind. Before that I was Technical Design Lead at JPMorgan Chase, working on property management and cashflow analysis tools. I also designed and built the redesign for RÚV, Iceland's national broadcaster and the 6th most popular website in the country. I've built and sold my own products too: Baseline (https://baseline.is), a digital asset management tool, used to manage over 19,000 brand guides created, and Norde (https://norde.is), an icon manager. I love working on complex products with good teams. I pick up new tech easily and care about clear communication and doing things properly.
Notable Clients: JPMorgan Chase, Santander Bank, RÚV, Trello, Rob Walling, Peter Diamandis, Syncthing, SimplyCredit

I wish AppImage was slightly more user friendly and did not require the user to specifically make it executable.

SEEKING WORK - Remote - A Designer Who Can Code
I love solving complex problems and have 14 years of experience in Fin-Tech, Journalism, TV and Media, Health, Science, and more.
I've taken countless projects from 0 to 1 working with clients like JPMorgan Chase, Santander Bank, Rob Walling, Trello, Peter Diamandis, Syncthing, SimplyCredit and others. I'm experienced in Vue.js, Django, Phoenix framework, Quasar, just to name a few. I pick up new tech easily and like working on complex products.
I can help you with:
- Product Design: I help identify and solve the real problems your users face. Whether you're struggling with low engagement, confusing user flows, or a product that doesn't quite meet market needs, I dig deep into user pain points to design solutions that actually work. From ground-up product strategy to fixing specific friction points that are hurting your metrics.
- Front-end Development: I can turn the design into a pixel perfect product. Being able to design and develop allows me to move at speeds otherwise impossible by cutting a lot of the steps otherwise needed.Contact me at [email protected]

Loved this article, funnily enough I wrote something in a similar vein, due to my frustrations with nonsense requirements, yesterday: https://gilli.is/journal/the-best-designers-know-nothing-abo...
