Can you not achieve the log history on a subtree with `git log my/subfolder/`? Tools like TortoiseGit let you right click on a folder and view the log of changes to it.

This is called MVHR (mechanical ventillation with heat recovery) in the UK. We're looking at putting it in, but have a fairly poorly insulated house, so it's not clear if the heat recovery is worthwhile. There is also PIV (positive input ventillation), which blows fresh air into a property (normally the hallways), but does not recover heat, or duct air from the rooms. So it's much simpler and cheaper to buy and install. It relies on the natural 'leakiness' of the property to vent stale air out.

Regarding the new database version issue, I wonder why the caching layer can't just pass any query it is unable to process on to the underlying database?

This would be more complex if the feature you are using does not return a normal table of results back (e.g. the pub/sub support in Postgres).

My point is that the lower risk for the majority of the journey will offset (partially or fully I do not know) the increased risk on take-off and landing. I would guess that the overall risk will end up lower for a WIG craft than a traditional high speed foiling vessel.

Also rocks are only a concern in a small area of ocean around the takeoff and landing areas, which will presumably be fairly well surveyed.

It's only hydro-foiling on take-off and landing, in flight it's a plane in ground effect flying just above the sea.

My coop has the worst of all worlds. There used to be four self checkouts, but they removed two during covid, and another one after it developed a fault. So you have one self checkout, with a member of staff that has to juggle baby sitting it and manning a basket checkout. It would be much quicker if they just removed the last self checkout and had the staff member man the checkout full time.

In Waitrose (UK) stores at least this is not the case. When you are spot checked the staff member spot checks that a few things in your trolley have been scanned. They tend to check some higher value goods like alcohol.

Also those stores, at least where I live, have no physical barrier to exit.
