I know this won't help in the short term but I would highly encourage you to participate in hackathons or work on side projects and list those on your resume along with what you learned. It gives you character and makes yourself memorable to the reader.

Ah, that makes sense. And I think I might have found an answer to my own question:

"By virtue of being written in C++, this client works in several different platforms. The examples folder contains an iPhone, QT and Console example chat client!" - From the github repo

Out of curiosity, what's the reasoning behind going with C++? Just for fun or is there some advantage to C++ over other languages for sockets?

It would be super easy to convert this to html if you wanted to because the format is so similar. But also, at this point, wouldn't it just be easier to just write it in HTML and make the actual product or use a framework like bootstrap? Im just struggling to see the value add. Maybe there is something I am missing. Would love to hear your reasoning and what led you to create this.

Also, lets not forget React Native. NO other framework can prove that compatibility with mobile. A React programmer can now cover both web and mobile development with relative ease. I'm not saying that React Native or React is perfect, but I would argue it is the best option for any company with limited developer resources.
