As a slightly less but still very casual enjoyer too, I don't think there is a huge amount of value in dumping the lean proof or the natural language proof. I'd rather have an abstract of a paper that I can at least hope to understand 75% of before getting lost.

I'm guessing if you were really interested, you could email [email protected] (itself a hilarious e-mail address).

This whole article is not about the aristocracy.

> Buyers of these will probably by definition make blended wines, which are not really held in high regards. People who drink wine are usually quite demanding about their drink.

The highest regarded wines are blended. Bordeaux wine makers that have large estates may only use their harvests (still blending varietals from year to year), but many Burgundy wine makers will buy harvests from different parcels and blend. There are exceptions but that is not the norm.

I like the sentiment but wine has been made for thousands of years, with famous stories of kings and emperors enjoying them.

I would wager that almost no Linux installs are done by CD or displaying VGA anymore (maybe 0.01%).

I haven’t checked for SC:BW but Blizzard has official parsers/replayers for SC2 on GitHub.

> We aren't actually sure what gave our core the spin it has, right?

We are, it’s from the conservation of angular momentum. The material that made our planet also had a non-zero angular momentum.

> they don't even pay taxes on the money they spend, since they can borrow against the assets and spend on credit.

They have to pay taxes on the income/realised gains they use to pay the loan back when it matures. It’s not completely tax free.

This framing is also in the post. From the readme:

> Bonsai itself -- this library -- is actually more generic than the above makes it sound. It allows you to build general-purpose incremental, composable state machines. Bonsai_web builds on top of that core library, specializing it for interactive browser-based UIs, but we also have Bonsai_term for building interactive terminal-based UIs.

> But of course one can then question why are there exactly N different types of fields, with their specific types of interaction (at least in our universe)?

Even that has a (still unsatisfactory) answer.

Poincaré symmetry imposes constraints on the kinds of fields we can have. Gauge symmetry shows us how they may couple.

There are still some arbitrary selections of the possible permutations that nature has “picked”.
