I'd say this speaks more to the metaprogramming capabilities of rails rather than the team itself.

Rails simply does more for you out the box with just a few macros.

That's not completely accurate. Rails 7.2 added fiber support.

Only action cable still doesn't fully support falcon using http 2. But that's coming soon as well.

Ghana. Whatsapp is fine but Facebook is down.

If you're building internal facing apps, you can't go wrong with retool.

We've used it in production since before it became public and its served us well.

It's a really sad state of affairs.

There's clearly hatred being directed at a certain gender and race, but that seems to be fine since "they are the oppressors".

I think flutter fills that space. Apart from lacking proper background task support, it's a good offering.

As a very adopter of react, flutter tickles me the same way.

I've been using this for the last 3 months and it's a pretty amazing tool. We need to spin up tools quickly for our operation teams and this has been a godsend.

The support has been amazing as well. Very quick response times and fixes when we report any bugs.

It is obvious Google is doing it for their own benefit as well. The faster your page loads, the faster they can crawl.

For one thing, I do know my life revolves around programming.

I work from home and so get to spend time with my kids and have a pretty chill time, but everything I do, is calculated towards solving that next problem.

E.g.when I'm stuck on a problem, I go play with my kids to rest and passively process it.

To me, this is a pretty chill life. This is what a "life" means to me.

Traditionally, people's careers have always been their lives. Blacksmiths, farmers etc, why can't it be now?

I have more than 100 tabs on mobile. FYI, the indicator changes to a smiley.

It's easy to cross that threshold when you're doing research.

Escape? Those who wished to escape took different paths, visa lotteries and the like.

Those of us who've stayed back and are actively involved in tech entrepreneurship have little desire to leave. We would have already, we have the skills.

Ghana might not have it the best, but every country started like this. It takes dedication from its citizens to grow and that mindset is catching on now.

Not to detract from the rest of your answer though.

In that case, should he tell his employer he mechanized his work?

There were 4 of them out that night. And the driver closed for the day to hang with them.

After he dropped them, they realized the devices were still in the car, and immediately tried to reach him. And he never picked up.

Well, he never pursued the issue further and left it at that.

I've had some rather good experiences e.g. where the driver called me, and brought back the stuff to me after he was done at the end of the day and refused to take any money as a reward.

I guess it all depends on the person.
