I'm currently working on two side projects:
https://vinyldeals.club/ - an aggregator for deals and new releases on vinyl records. It is in its early stages though.
https://flxn.de/qrcode2stl/ - an online tool to create your own 3d printable qr codes. It directly spits out STL files for slicing.

It should only take a few minutes to set it up.
I made an online configurator which installs everything for you.

I can't find a video of the programme that was on the livestream.
There is a short video of the launch on ESA's youtube channel but the quality is horrible.

Tor Relay Configurator: https://tor-relay.co/
It's a simple configurator for generating a script that sets up a Tor node on your server. I hope that way people with who are less proficient in Tor and Linux can support the network.

How about a monthly HN "Criticize Me" post where people can show their current projects?
Every top-level comment is a project and then the community can give feedback. That way you don't have the pressure of "Show HN" but can nonetheless benefit from the HN community.

Well, on the bottom of the page it says "Innovation Alliance" which is "[...] a coalition of research and development-based technology companies representing innovators, patent owners, and stakeholders from a diverse range of industries that believe in the critical importance of maintaining a strong patent system that supports innovative enterprises of all sizes."
Here is a list of some(?) of their members: http://innovationalliance.net/about-us/
Qualcomm, Dolby, Cantor Fitzgerald, ... looks like they have a huge pile of patents and money.

Two weeks ago the new owner of SourceForge terminated the controversial "DevShare" program.

So it should be safe again.

I really like Skeleton because it's so simple.
Sadly it looks like the author has abandoned the project but there are some forks on Github.

In Germany "Grünbrücken", as they are called, are actually quite common. We have over 70 of them (as of June 2014).

I'm a bit disappointed...
After reading the title I was expecting some weird string handling bugs in the driver that result in degraded performance when there are certain character sequences in the file name ;)

I am so mind blown right now... On 10/14 (5 days ago) i checked if this domain is available (it was) because I had exactly the same idea. I even made a note that is sticking on my desk right now.
Good luck with your project...
