That's good to hear. I can't apply this time due to visa issues, but I hope the program is a success for both LivingSocial and the candidates so that more editions are done :)

J-1 "two years restriction"

Sounds like a great opportunity. Is it open to non-US citizens? :)

Still not working for me on Brazilian App Store. How long will you keep it on sale? I don't wanna miss it :)

For per-site whitelisting, you can click on that icon and check "always allow plugin on ..." or go to "settings > under the hood > content > plugins > manage exception."

It isn't the easiest or most intuitive way, but so far worked well enough to me.

IMHO, "not touching that" is not being neutral - is taking a position against WikiLeaks.

Being neutral would be more like "I'll let they keep doing their thing, like any other business."

Price of a Big Mac in USA: $3.73 Brazil: $5.19

(Big Mac index, http://www.oanda.com/currency/big-mac-index)

Jokes aside, in Brazil you need ~$1000/month to live* in a big city, ~$700 in a smaller one, ~$500 as a broken college student.

(live* as in small apartment, internet, public transportation, entertainment but no luxury).

I posted this saying on Facebook and a friend rewrote it:

“When you are not enjoying your life, someone else is. When you meet him, you will probably regret.”

Sounds like a nice way to live too.

Learning how to make a driver to OpenSolaris. Yeah, OpenSolaris.

Since I've never done anything close to that (I'm mostly a Rails guy), it's being kind of cool. College stuff :)

Nice! Yes, I have read it. Life Nomadic is what convinced me to do it for real. [for those who haven't, http://tynan.net/life-nomadic]

Since I could take a very long time to save two years worth of money, I'll just save enough to get started in some low-cost country (something like 3~5 months in South America or Asia) and focus on building something that can generate some passive income.

Thanks for the advices. Stick to it, and maybe we meet on the road :)
