"Proverbial butter." Nice. Most of the features I hop over to Espresso for (code folding, for one) are in Coda 2, yay!

I posted this in the thread from Friday, but think it's worth mentioning again - if you listen to the last few minutes, starting with where Dan mentions the t-shirts, it seems like John was offended by the jokes made at his expense (e.g. not wearing a shirt). Maybe it was the kind of thing that had been accumulating, as I know Dan has made offhand cracks in the past, and perhaps this was the last straw. I believe John felt disrespected/unappreciated, for the last time it seems.

It's really going to be a different show now. But John clearly has a completely refreshed voice in the new series, it seems like the move is going to be a net gain for everyone. Many others have pointed out that TTS on 5by5 has not been the same recently. I look forward to listening to the new TTS even though it won't be the same.

Dan Benjamin is a class act.

I just re listened to the last 5 minutes, and between the t-shirts that Dan says John approved (which he denies) and the jokes at John's expense, he was insulted. I'm sure there was more going on behind the scenes, but those two things are clearly the last straw.

As a long-time listener, I feel a peculiar closeness with the hosts, even though I've never met either one. Having witnessed [the public part of] their friendship evolve, it is sad to think that something may have happened that soured it. Still waiting to see what Dan/5by5 will say, as the silence on bigweek.co/twitter/5by5.tv has been uncomfortable, to say the least.

I still enjoy John's shows, but I agree with many others in this thread on this point: a year ago, TTS was the podcast in my list that I'd drop any other to listen to when a new one aired. Lately, that's become Hypercritical, which always leaves me feeling like I learned something.

I've got like 4 years left on one registration. Anyone know if there's a way to carry over the time I've already paid for? Are there registrars that will do this?
