Yes it runs on all levels of hardware - with the latest Strata my 5090 and 64GB DDR5 gets 200-240 tok/sec decode, 6500 tok/sec prefill. Around $0.09/M tokens in power usage (have excess solar capacity).

Even the most liberal Nozickean voluntary society existentially requires a mechanism to limit granting of membership to those who genuinely uphold its values, and limit intrusion and abuse by those who do not. The literature you linked shows that DHH is cognizant of Popper's Paradox and is willing to defend liberalism from exploitation.

You may be unaware, but the EU, India, and China have also engaged in their own versions of economically-pressured internet presence takedowns of international activists and dissidents they label subversive. The degree differs according to leverage and their constitutional reasoning, but there is no spirit of opposition to this type of policy if that’s what you’re imagining.

The point is that people who proclaim themselves "antifa", be they in dictatorial power over half of Korea, or merely a band of organized activists, are not automatically due credibility and trust because of some grammatical fixation that magically guarantees alignment. Do you only become skeptical when the message is twisted after winning power?

"Antifa" factions in the Spanish Civil War ultimately did not win and accidentally enable a Spanish DPRK, but they still were perfectly capable of being and doing evil, such as committing mass rape and shooting of nuns.

Nomenclature alone is meaningless. Is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea which professes anti-fascist messaging and motives both democratic and anti-fascist? I wouldn't assume every "antifa" group is principled and accurate in its diagnosis of what fascism is and who are acceptable targets for their outgroup directed aggression.

Lancet is run by left-wing academic ideologues who do not practice medicine clinically, the publication advanced untested theories as policy during COVID and then recommended exceptions for BLM protesting.

Seed Turbo 2.1 is incredibly detailed in describing every physical feature. I use that one for vision tool calls through Venice API.

With modern automation and AI, tracking and adjusting paths is better every year. Also, anything with malfunctioning movement will quickly descend and burn up in the atmosphere at that very low orbit.

Apple TV is affordable and has a Steam Link app that works pretty well.

There are many biotech startups and private research labs thriving and paying high salaries with excellent benefits for that specialty right now - focused on genetic testing, editing, and longevity. Before moving abroad, widening the search outside of academia and considering moving internally might be worthwhile.

Texas was the leading state in new grid battery installs for the last few years.

Correct, everyone complains about "enshittification" but they fail to recognize that the most egregious cases occur when a company with a dedicated founder/leader transitions to rule by committee.

Venice (uncensored privacy AI API and app co) took a year to expand their self-hosted model selection to routing hundreds of other models. It's harder than it looks to get customers. But they did grow to 3M users and >$50M ARR as of a few weeks ago. So go for it if you've found an easy way to do it.
