Stop reading these comments and get to work. You don't have time for both.

To me, this means asking the following: when you do something, do you feel guilty after? Do you hate yourself for playing 5 hours of video games every night when you know you could be productive? That's a guilt-laden activity.

That sounds like a problem with your particular work environment, rather than a reason to not learn design

This is somewhat minor, and a bit tangential to the article, but worth noting nonetheless.

The title on HN is misleading. Dev Bootcamp is a company whose name in the general sense is being used to refer to similar learn-to-code schools ("dev bootcamps"). This article refers to one of the latter, but does not identify as having to do with the Dev Bootcamp.

You have 10 reasons. Your numbered list has 7 twice.

Also, the reason is very simple: there's no money to be made in building a Hyperloop. There's a good reason Musk didn't (and won't) work on it.

How often are (production) mobile apps using these types of BaaS providers rather than being custom-backed? Is this a tool mostly used for test/toy apps?

I'm surprised more public projects don't run as bounty-style "build x and get $1 million" type systems. Rather than picking who's going to do what (or worse, building all in-house), having many different small times competing for one pot seems like it might be a better way to get a good starting foundation. Or perhaps that's a crazy idea for something as big as this.

Yeah I got that feeling. I've used and like Angular, but can't figure out why I'd want to use this instead.

Can someone explain this to me like I'm a 5 year old and have no idea what any of it means? What will it help me do that I can't otherwise? What tech does it compare to, if any (direct competitors)?

Agreed - came to comments to say the numbers aren't necessarily, and the navigation is unclear (though I just used keyboard arrow keys)
