Full-time dad and programmer. By day, I work as a software engineer. By night, I'm a hobbyist hacker and tinker with personal projects.

In addition to my tech work, I occasionally help run my family's specialty coffee and equipment business in VN. We sell high-quality coffee beans, brewing gear, and other coffee-related products to customers nationwide.

I spent last night migrating ERPNext 80G's box from Hetzner US, Hillsboro to Singapore.

I love the seamless experience.

- Take a snapshot from US's box.

- Restore US snapshot to new Singapore box.

- Wait about 15min and it's done.

The prices are still nice, compared to Digital Ocean, Vultr, or Linode.

You are right, I should completely move out of Woocommerce and exclusively use Laravel + Filament + LunarPHP or even use hosted Shopify and decouple myself from the tech stack.

At the same time, a day job and raising kids can make major technological transitions a real challenge. So, we are here, still stuck between 2 systems.

Corcel has worked great for us, even in a production environment.

Our family's e-commerce business previously had a slow and bloated WooCommerce site, largely due to my skill issues. However, we were able to rescue the site by using Corcel, Laravel, Filament, and LunarPHP.

My wife still uses the WordPress admin interface as the main admin tool, while the public-facing website is rendered by Laravel, with data provided seamlessly through Corcel.

Everybody, they just tell the truth.

80% of "each" tech project could be built outside IT by 2024, thanks to low-code tools

20% of remain tech in each project, we will just hire some IT guys to rebuild everything in high-code skills.

- Connect multiple databases simultaneously and database generalization

- Support for REST, in addition to GraphQL, for the user facing API

- Authorization engine enhancements

- HA & Distributed Ops - Reliability & Scalability (aka - prevent GraphQL is the single point of failure related problems)

- Metadata API tooling

Sure it is. We can perform DB joins with any column as long as the data type and the data value is matched.

"music for programming" with me is Pink Floyd. Anyone with me?

Yeah, with RxDB, we are tied with RxJS, PouchDB and CouchDB.

Anyway, database is hard, opensource is great. We love them both, RxDB or Meteor.

Meteor do this since inception with MongoDB on server and MiniMongo in client.
