Intel Mac users. I recently installed MacPorts for the first time after Homebrew dropped support.

I actually had this happen to me just last week. Claude let me know about it and blamed it on a sub agent, saying something to the effect of “This was my bad. I explicitly told them not to do this and one agent did it anyway. I should have checked their commands but I didn’t.”

Claude then saved a note not to do this to memory, which gives me absolutely no faith that it won’t happen again.

The PS store enables spending money on the platform. It’s gotta be incredibly easy to justify server expenses for that.

I don’t understand what you mean when you say the whole smart speaker industry is crooked.

Every company that makes smart speakers is crooked? Or, the making and selling of smart speakers is inherently unethical?

This has been happening to me as well for the last few weeks. I’d say since around the time Sonoma was released, although I’ve continued running Ventura the entire time. There was an update to Ventura at the time Sonoma was released, which I’ve considered as a possible cause.

I experience the same spinning wheel that rarely if ever resolves on its own, but I’ve noticed that if I click outside of the Chrome window to change focus to another app, and then immediately click back into a Chrome window, the spinning wheel is immediately resolved.

Why can’t you repair your 2008 MacBook? Is it the aluminum model A1278 or the polycarbonate model A1181?
