Earlier this month we shipped a commercial featuring Martin Starr, better known as Gilfoyle from Silicon Valley. Happy to answer any questions about how we did this or how to do something like this

SMTP is gated behind the $20/mo Pro plan to reduce spam on the internet.

It sounds like you were running a production workload on the Hobby plan

You'd have to ask the author or editor or whoever wrote the title, I can't say I get what that phrase means either. Broadly the primitives we're building are all aimed at shortening the distance between generating code and deploying it

That's either the fun or the insane part of the challenge, depending on who you ask, going up against some of the most profitable companies in the history of the world

We're happy to answer any questions btw :)

Author here. Last time we had a free plan, we didn't have PMF so we ended up (at one point) losing $16 for every $1 of top line revenue. This is the story of what we learned the first time and what's different this time

Hi HN, it's the last day of our launch week and to celebrate we're announcing a $1M matching cash kickback for open source developers

The way it works is you make a template, other developers run it on our platform, and you get $0.50 for every $1 we collect in usage-based billing against it

We've already distributed ~$60K and when the $1M runs out we'll go back to the standard 25% kickback
