I also saw some posts on linkedin of people willing to pay to use unused quota resets.

Not sure is this what they meant by the great “ai wealth redistribution”.

With Grok being half-priced for indian residents, I would not be shocked to see a parallel indian account resell economy coming.

If you are in Europe right now and you are an astronomy amateur, you probably already bought your iso-121312 goggles, thinking you are all setup for wednesday's solar eclipse.

If you live in a city and do not anticipate you will probably miss the once in a century celestial show.

Indeed as the eclipse will be late (it depends on your location), a single building or tree can ruin the experience.

You actually need a complete cleared west-east axe to enjoy the show.

Do not test in prod, and check tonight when the sunset if you can see it from your home. Today and tomorrow are your last chance to find a good spot.

The website above might help you, but you should definitely double check :)

It really depends on what you are building, coding is always about trade-offs, and sometimes (not always) you have to choose between maintainability/readability and performance.

If you are writing code for embedded devices where every cpu cycle counts, I would indeed trade a bit of the maintenance for some cpu cycle.

If I am writing a huge web app that has to be maintained years by a large team of devs, I would prefer a more simple/maintanable code over a fast one (+ in such scenarios the real bottlenecks are often your I/O, not the raw CPU perf).

This is for the same reason you usually write code that needs to be fast in low-level programming lng like C and huge web app in Node.js or Java.

Thank you very much ! :) The idea was indeed to not rely on LLM to watch LLMs, also making it pure stats allow ultra fast feedback loop. I tried a lots of different techniques, but well refined stats outperforms all neural network techniques

I rely so much on these, the ROI on having a max 90 claude plan + pro 90 codex plan is way higher than haing one solo 180 plan on a single one. It allows to derisk the issue, and also as they both kind of generous with quota reset when issues happens on their side, and it happens a lot, you get in the end way more tokens

I cannot recommend more to try the Ray Tracer challenge and if possible without AI.

It helps you build a full ray tracer / 3D engine only guided with tests, really powerful to learn test driven development.

What s cool is that just being driven with tests still allows you to do it in any language you want.

Plus you ll learn a quintillion of stuff about mathematics. This is really the kind of project that makes you go to a real senior SWE

Things are far more enjoyable as a teen when it s forbidden, remember the golden age of p2p!

Teens who want to see porn will be able to see porns, but they will learn somethings along the way to do so

This is caricatural of course, but it s just so dumb as law as enforcing age verification "anonymously" is just like a don quichotte battle at AI era

Very cool ! Would be nice to have some explanation after answers on the objects so that I learn something, but pretty addictive and nice UI!
