I used to teach at a boot camp and it can be really good if you choose the right one. In person full time showed the best results vs online and part time. You can do all the same learning on your own but the bootcamp accelerates the learning and a good one will also help you with a job with networking and interview prep.

Built my last road bike from the ground up and I would say electronic shifting is my favorite part. Its more precise and easier to maintain than cable shifting.

All this compatibility warring sucks of course. But there's tons of merit to going digital on certain bike parts.

I created a Strava segment in my neighborhood and started to monitor it. I quickly found a couple cheaters and flagged them. Some I could tell some were just bad GPS data, such as riding a bike in a lake. I usually take mine down if the GPS is totally off. However, some were definitely blatant cheating, such as cycling at 80 mph when the road speed is 40mph.

Because they own the facility? Otherwise, they have extra cost of going through a government facility with extra regulations and oversight.
