Yes, on average women can perceive more colors than men [1]
Anecdotally, in high school we all took this test for a class [2] and the girls did a lot better than us. Although some guys were able to score pretty well on it. I don’t remember if this was the exact test but it’s very similar.

You can play sound with the audio API since the user is interacting with the page. However, the vibration API is only implemented in Chrome and Firefox on mobile. Safari removed it from WebKit.

They don’t go into details; but they claim it’s “as accurate as methods a doctor would use” and that they tested accuracy against DXA.

This actually happened in the 1988 Mexican election. The PRI was losing the vote and their opposition was predicted to win using live vote tabulation. They hid the results by saying the system crashed and then declared themselves as winning. This kept many people from bothering to even vote.
However, they went much further and burned legitimate ballots and even made fake ones.
The difference here is the PRI actively used (fake) predictions to discourage voters.

Another reason for requiring feedback for downvoting is so others know why it was downvoted. There have been many times where I’ve seen a dead comment on a topic I’m not familiar. I know the general user disagrees with that statement but I have no idea what’s “wrong” with it. Conceivably it’s because it’s obviously wrong to anyone in that domain so nobody bothers commenting or it’s a contentious issue in that domain and people who agree or could provide further insight don’t think it’s worth the negativity to bother commenting.
Either way I have no clue. I read a comment recently about setting up a graphics pipeline that seemed reasonable enough but was downvoted to hell. I would have liked to know why.

I was taken off the sms list “effective immediately” because they asked if I was ready to Feel the Bern and I responded with a gif of Hulk Hogan in front of a giant American flag saying “Hell yeah brother!”
I was just trying to be a patriotic millennial but it got me off the sms list so silver lining I guess. Now I donate whenever I have the spare cash and I don’t have to worry about them blowing up my phone.
