From what I've read they had PM's and a team, a small Manhattan style project, I've never heard of a maths project being tackled this way, it would be interesting to duplicate with people.

There's a book The Creative Act - A Way of Being by Rick Rubin, he's a music producer but the ideas are general, I enjoyed it. I have enough ideas to last me a lifetime, its a pretty inspirational book, there's always something and now we have these wonderful automata to help us discover things - it's the beginning of a golden age imho.

ie the code had bugs, and they didn't update the documentation. wouldn't be the first time.

I've had the same thought about the maths - they've spent millions on tokens, I can't recall anyone spending millions on mathematicians.

The managers you have must be startlingly different from my experience.

Owner: Can you make the box red?

claude: sure

Owner: no not that box, the green one

Apart from this, how would things work in our current capitalist society when everything costs very little, all the scarcity drivers disappear. Things will change no doubt but not in the way everyone's scared of, I'm sure. It's going to be an interesting ride. Personally I think smarts are going to be needed even more to figure out what these ai's are saying, I think everyone really underestimates how little these skills exist

I don't know, I get more work done now in a few hours than I used to in a day, so maybe the working week should be shrunk, that would solve things. The solution seems pretty easy - but then I'm not in the US.

It's funny we're possibly entering a golden age of thought, the dreams of the ancients, but we're all worried about capitalism, I think the problem is pretty obvious.

I'm not sure why being relatively simple would mean C over Rust? Rust still has the safety advantages.
