Thanks for mentioning the "Seinfeld strategy", just googled it. Love it. Might just use it to plan my January.

I think it got stale when Ive didn't have Jobs as a counterpart. Or vice versa. Once Cook & Ive didn't seem to have the same relationship, things stopped working. But I agree that Apple is doing quite well again with the M1-era Macs.

I think your comment on Jobs being Ives editor is spot on. They worked as a team and complemented each others shortcomings (at least to a degree). There was apparently never this kind of relationship between Cook and Ive.

But to say Apple kicked Ive out seems wrong to me. They rather wore him out and he left.

Just taking notes by hand seems to improve my memorization & understanding. (business context, not school for me) But going over my notes again in a timely fashion (<24 to 36 hours) seems to improve them a lot (sometimes just an additional explanation, highlighting, drawing a diagram). Structure helps when you need to go back and look for something.

The original one yes (TR7), but a different company (Sansez) has started producing it (informally called TRS). First tests look surprisingly good, so there's hoping...

Right? Some Muji notebooks punch way above their price-class.

Agreed. Midori paper is shockingly good. And it works so well with fountain pens. Definitely recommended.

Check out Mikrotik. Quite similar range of products to Ubiquiti, very configureable, maybe it fits your needs...

I've learned that "old" is just a sliding scale. When I was in my teens, I considered 30 old. When I was in my 20s, I considered 40 old. And so on. Don't get too hung up on the exact number.

Also, there's a physical age and a mental age. One definition of old is, when these numbers don't match up anymore. And yes, by this definition some young people are old and vice versa - that's the idea!

Saying, "I'll do that when I'm older or when I retire" just means that you'll never do it.

Getting older usually means acquiring more experiences. It doesn't mean that everyone is equally good at it, typically a healthy dose of self-reflection helps.

And lastly, memories tend to fade, which is a blessing, pr sometimes a curse. But mostly it helps to blur things in the past. Which explains why older people tend to idealise how things used to be (they only remember the good parts). But it also helps people get over things.

Do people realise that Antifa simply means Anti-Fascist? Its origin is Antifaschistische Aktion during the Weimar Republic, though the current movement is ideologically a bit different. Still, it seems that "antifa" has been politically co-opted in the US and is not being used in the right context at all. How is Antifa objectively a threat to life and property?
