My county appraises my home for much more than I could sell it for, and my property tax is based on that county appraisal. I have tried to get the appraisal down to realistic number -- I file annual appraisal protests.

I'm in favor of paying for public schools but would prefer the county appraise properties realistically and then raise the tax rate to compensate, rather than inflate the appraisal so they can claim a lower tax rate.

Glassdoor reviews are a poor measure of a company's culture.

Just playing back what you said because it's surprising. You're saying that explosion was not caused by water that was superheated by the supervolcano below the greater Yellowstone Caldera? It was heated by some other source?

My experience: a lot of the confusion in technical conversations is due to two parties using the same term for different but related concepts. Relabeling the concepts to clarify the distinction is the right thing to do.
