yeah slicing is very printer/filament-dependent too... prusa and others have done TONS of research on this and have very good solutions. we can have a button to open you selected component in those programs as a mesh, will NOT implement in solidcraft

So far it is a straight port of the recently open-sourced smlib, it covers A LOT of what we need. Feel free to point an agent at it, there's like a "take a ticket" triage-like system for who's working on what functions
