That casts the "wearing a dead fish" thing mentioned elsewhere in a darker hue.

If they had figure for home working vs in-office, that could really be something worth reading.

As it stands, I'm inclined to agree with others who have said there are just too many hidden variables here.

Yes, that was basically my point. There has also been some fairly fevered speculation about epigenetics being responsible for some types of instinct - even "cross-generational memories" and the like.

An interesting test of some of the claims about epigenetics...

Police in the UK recommend leaving your car keys somewhere obvious downstairs in your house for similar reasons.

Do you have a link to that Android app? Can't find it and I suppose I ought to prevent the chance of my being tracked by someone for some reason.

That said, this abrogates most of the security functions of the tags, doesn't it?

Just writing their name in reverse would probably work, and be less time consuming.

IIRC VGA was at a000h and text at b800h.

This is pretty funny. We're going to run the entire gamut of different verification technologies for them all to become compromised, forcing us to return to in-person transactions for everything.

Time to start investing in closed bank branches.

To add to the above, early medieval fasting rules in Christianity were brutal, arguably much tougher than comparable rules from other major religions at the same time. Then we got decadent.

"Noon" is at lunchtime now because the ninth hour (Nones, Noon, 3pm) prayers, after which one could eat, got moved inexorably earlier to cater to the whims of impious monks.

And incidentally, because it's interesting, fasting and veganism without corresponding prayer was/is seen as Satanic, "The fast of the devils", because "fallen angels neither eat nor pray".

Well my comment above is kind of pedantic and tangential, but I do think it's an interesting point.
