Well your database crashing isn't much better for your uptime really

You're already trusting them with their proprietary cloud products, whose code you can't read. Why wouldn't you trust them with their client SDK code.

Especially for offline sync Firebase is still much stronger than other all-in-one solutions.

The real alternative there would be to use some SQLite syncing solution and a different solution for auth and cloud compute.

There is a normal support ticket system not on Discord, which they loudly advertise for having a very good response time. The Discord server is not the primary support method

NVIDIA GeforceNow also caps at 100 hours/month, though it doesn’t sell a game subscription with it obviously. Then again it comes in at less than half the price of Game Pass Ultimate.

Interestingly I did not directly recognise the text as AI, but this is precisely the moment that I stopped reading.

I always thought Bun's approach was to be the JS runtime with a large well-designed std-library, this isn't really new. It's nice to have a choice of a more or less-featured runtime depending on the project's requirements -- if size and complexity are an issue, there's a variety to choose from.

The problem is that if you are the target demographic now, you’ll never know if you’re still next year or if you’ll be deplatformed and as such it makes for not a very reliable code host.

The article literally says they intend to selectively enforce this rule and not be strict with it?

I don’t think this ever works with passkeys stored in pw managers though, only Face ID/whatever Android is doing?

Maybe, the other ones at least respond with “we don’t want to pay you” after a week (: (I think hotel, etc. is usually paid back very quickly as that can’t really be disputed unlike the 600€). I think for really any airline if everyone actually exercised their rights they’d go bankrupt quite quickly paying multiples of the original ticket price to everyone

Small note for others: It’s not this complex everytime, luckily, you mostly just need a bit of persistence (and once you filed a complaint, while it might not even be legally binding, for example in Switzerland, the airline might just send the money at some point during the procedure as the chance someone files a complaint also goes to court and generates more costs is high —- so it’s always worth it trying the official way before going to agencies).
