1. Will this increase or decrease the incidents? 2. Will we know more or less about these incidents in the future? 3. Will anyone else inside work for or against this happening?
Which way do we want things to go?
I don't mean to say it's clearly this or that. I think it's a genuinely interesting and challenging dilemma. Do I continue working someplace that is involved in something evil but try and provide a voice, push, influence, or, if nothing else, a voice to the outside of the goings on inside, or do I separate myself and work only from the outside?
We can imagine the same for law enforcement, military, defence contractors, government, and any number of other vectors and industries.
Snowden was working from the inside before he leaked what he did. Every single whistleblower was involved first.

I definitely add LLMisms to my speech to other techies as ironic jokes, but I've noticed more than once it creeps in naturally. I'm starting to embrace my typos as the few lingering signs of my humanity...
Our system now heavily reenforces lack of accountability to executives for what happens under their watch.
Investors don't lose money when these breaches happen.
This is why it won't change until those change.
Now that we have systems that can pass for students at this baseline level, educational systems are facing a reckoning and we can, hopefully, move past cookie-cutter education solutions and recognize the need for more hands-on, engaged education. Will it be an easy transition? No. Will all schools adapt successfully? Also, no.
But will we finally have a path away from standardized testing, middle-of-the-road education? I am hopefully optimistic. We'll rediscover the need for human growth and development in our schools. It's either that or we lose. I'll choose the optimistic route and join and support those who believe the same.
