Submarines do not have to surface to get a GPS lock.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Submarine_navigation

"On the surface or at periscope depth, submarines have used these methods to fix their position"...GPS being one of them.

A submarine can also navigate by the stars without surfacing.

https://www.usni.org/magazines/proceedings/2021/october/navi...

"This is precisely the information required by the traditional method of celestial navigation, and it is accomplished without the need to surface or use a sextant!"

Is that like when Wonder Woman tells the little girl in the foiled bomb plot she can do anything she wants? The little girl should have asked when she can deflect bullets with her arm bands.

I think I'm going to try using DuckDuckGo for a while and compare, might even try Yahoo search.

Those look cool, I wasn't aware of them. I feel more comfortable with the laptops since they usually undergo a grueling test cycle at Lenovo. I hook them up to an external monitor which hides their presence and use a wireless air mouse to control them.

I couldn't get them for use as ambiance devices so I bought some cheap Lenovo Ideapads, they work great.

There are many valid reasons to not use IPv6, it would make an interesting HN article.

...are directly attributed to the cited GitHub incidents. I only scanned the article once but I saw no FUD in it.

The article cites several GitHub incidents. If it can be verified GitHub competitors have a roughly equal number of incidents then the lack of novelty would be proven. I'm not supporting either view, just addressing your point.

I haven't tried it, last scope I used was fairly big and bulky, a floor model on a cart, around 30 years ago. It's amazing how much they've changed.
