I have a tv that shipped with Google TV and I've seen this chicken tender advert on it this week.

Amex does have products that cover both these use-cases independently, so I'm assuming if Apple-Card indeed moves over to Amex these features won't go away and would instead be fulfilled via Amex savings account + Amex's existing cash back support.

> savings kickback

Are you talking about cash back? If so Amex does offer cards that support cash backs (I've had one for quite a few years). If you are talking about savings accounts, Amex also offers a High Yield Savings account whose rates are very competitive with other banks in the US.

`finally` will also cover scenarios where the an exception is raised from within catch, or if the catch block doesn't handle an exception that's raised in the `try` block.

I've definitely had bad experiences with take home tests, but well-run take home setups can be a lot nicer than phone-screens with live coding.

When I interviewed at my current employer they made it very clear that the take home was meant as a conversation starter, and everyone who gets a take-home made it to the on-site (virtual in this case since its a remote role). This removed the guess work into whether the test will be a waste of time, as there was a guaranteed on-site interview. The test itself was also a more accurate representation of a simpler version of problems that the team was working on, as opposed to a generic algorithm problem.

Overall this was the most positive interview loop I've ever bene through, and was a big factor in making a decision to say yes to the job offer.

I don't work for fly, but I'll say that while the end-user of fly.io isn't expected to run an orchestration system, fly.io themselves runs an orchestration system (nomad from what I can tell), so it seems like a fairly reasonable idea for a take home evaluation for an infrastructure role at the company to evaluate skills/knowledge about orchestration systems.

That sounds like a problem with GRPC not protobufs.

For python there is https://github.com/ezyang/expecttest which is modeled after the OCaml expect test library.

I don’t think this is quite correct. https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/artIII-S3-C2-... for further reading, but non citizens owe temporary allegiance to the United States while residing within US, and can be charged with treason.

Immigrants in the US (including people who aren’t permanent residents) are considered residents for tax purposes and pay the same tax rate as citizens.
