I'm friends with a few of these founders so I'm refraining from recommending one service over another. That said, the feature that I love the most that a few of them share is the PR summarization. It helps humans do their PR review job particularly well!

Congrats on the launch, and thanks for open-sourcing it! We recently gave it a go to browse third-party API docs and were surprised by the accuracy of the summaries! I'm curious, why do you think the actor model works better for LLMs?

Hi folks!

This is Amadeo, a long-time hacker news passive reader.

I wanted to share a little story on how we ended up working on OpenInt. As mentioned, we started at YC as Map3, building unified APIs for Crypto. This was right as FTX blew up, so we couldn't find enough traction! We then pivoted into creating a consumer health app called Ally. After 9 months on it and realizing we weren't solving a meaningful enough problem, we tacked back into open-source dev tools. Initially, we launched Evefan (same area) in September, but after finding our first couple of customers, we stumbled into another OSS project called OpenInt. We acquired it and rebranded it and have decided to build on it :) We're now helping our first customers ship integrations to their end users and have been thrilled by the reception so far!

I'll be lurking through the day! I would love any pointers on how to make it easier for folks to launch and maintain integrations.

All good!

All good points and I'm super curious to see how it plays out :-) For what it's worth, I hope you're right and non crypto FinServs can improve as a result of alpha leakage.

I was probably biased in assuming it. It definitely possible we are wrong!

That's true. Vitalik calls this the 'Social Layer' of Blockchains.

I'm not one to call crypto protocols immutable, so I'm sort of with you. That's why I added 'practically' and 'easily' to that sentence.

Not even China was able to ban a decentralised chain. So I'm cautiously optimistic...

-- Edit --

Hadn't seen your first and third points.

1) & 3): Agree with your points. I'd just add that you don't have to speculate to use these networks for real day to day transactions. Also, i'm not bullish on incumbents innovating faster than these permissionless protocols.

I grew up in the Dominican Republic with limited access to first world financial services. We had 52% inflation in 2004 and double digits one most of my time there.

For the three reasons mentioned in the post, I think Crypto has the potential to increase economic freedom in the world.

I don't speculate on it and I also HATE the bad actors it draws. It is being used for non speculation use cases so it can't be a complete dead end :D

I get you. However, I think you're overthinking it.

Crypto is not money, it's a technology that makes it easy to track and transfer units out of account in a trustless way.

Most would confidently argue that stablecoins are money. I would argue Bitcoin and Ethereum are also nascent forms of money, but that's outside the wider tech/platform point.

How would you word it?
