For sure. They are both a shit-ton of work, but so far it has been well-worth it. Can think of any other way I'd rather spend my time. Just wish I knew more folks going through the same thing.

Empirically, www seems to have won -- a large fraction of the top consumer sites online have picked it. One could make UI/UX-type arguments for no-www, but I sites like Facebook and Pinterest have some of the best UI/UX people in the world, and have still picked www.
What is this the case? What is the top reasons for www? Is it the cookie thing? I've heard that www lets you play DNS trics also, but haven't seen more details on this.
I'd love to hear more about this choice from people who understand the decisions at top Internet companies.

Sorry, not in the near future.
If you look into the Twitter API and have some experience fetching and parsing websites, it isn't too bad. If you don't, its a fun learning experience :)

Hey HN! My friend Leslie and I created Venture News to easily keep up-to-date with the buzz in the VC community. It is great for people who are interested in VC/startups but don't use Twitter, follow all the VCs on Twitter, or have time to keep up with their timeline.
Since a good fraction of y'all keeps up w/ VC and startup news, it'd be helpful to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

Some friends and I all think Daft Punk is pretty awesome, and have been imagining what a collaborative multimedia shrine to Daft Punk might look like. What if there was one place online created by the fans to represent Daft Punk media/culture? What would it look like? What would it feel like?
