maybe because voice has a very low frequency range so its easier to separate from the high frequency noises.

my friend and i use the N word multiple times in our conversation or in chat. None of us are black. Context matters... Now if one day somebody hacks my phone and says i am a racist by leaking parts of my messages- is that ethical? how far are we from censoring others thoughts?

i live in korea. My professor is very proud of their generation working very hard to "defeat" japan in the tech industry. I think jack ma's statement is lost in translation in this article.

why are you equating PhD with money? Why shouldn't a fast food employee be paid the same as you? Is PhD even a job? What is life?

I am all in for dismantling facebook but this is just a rant. Zuck has way more things in favor for him legally. What confuses the hell out of me is that i always saw from childhood US executives are held accountable for their company's action. Any scandal and i would see the CEO step down. The amount of damage the zuck has caused the world and yet still he wont step down. What the actual hell

That's it. I'm leaving anything related to facebook. I mean a company should have minimum level of ethics. This is a absolute trash of a company.

I really enjoyed the talk and it was very relevant thanks. But the speakers vision is almost improbable in my opinion. Not because it's not possible but because the target consumers won't bother for it. Majority of population are already out of touch of their senses with how they use technology. Kinda like how the VR is now marketed, even though the initial ideas blew everyone's minds.

Yeah the managing of different messaging apps has become another chore that i despise. Oh my boss sent me a message in skype, my roommate will only call through whatsapp, my very specific group of friends will talk in a group chat in messenger and so on.

[TLDR: not the fear of the religion. If you can't control people's thoughts, you can't control people.] People should really learn religion is just a political tool. replace the word 'muslim' with any other religion and you will find many examples of the same- which may give you a clue why totalitarian states do this. Not certainly to fight "terrorism"

i agree strongly with the "you are still you" part. I thought running away from my pain would make me forget. But yeah hundreds of miles don't really change how your brain works.
