I quite like pinggy for this. You don't need to install anything, since it uses a plain SSH tunnel.

ssh -p 443 -R0:localhost:9051 free.pinggy.io

(Free for 1h each session)

OP here. I just got back from a gaming cafe with my aforementioned mother (in Vietnam!), 2026, 15 years later. She's still pretty good, and would still smoke you lot. Hence the repost.

It's our absolute obligation to make sure "meat proxy" sticks as hard as "vibe coding" did. It's too good not to.

Just to be clear: this is not a serious project and I will, unfortunately, be rejecting all VC offers so please don't waste both of our time with your "series A" and nice boardrooms.

I'm working on a Chrome extension for X that adds language learning features: https://uselangbot.com. I think it's a bit too niche for it to become a viable business, but let's see... usage is growing the more I talk about it.

Fun fact: I coded it by hand (because I enjoy doing that), which I think in 2026, puts me into the psychopath group according to most.

I remember finding a comment in the first codebase I ever worked on professionally in my first ever job.

It read "This fixes a bug that hasn't happened yet".

It seemed really smart at first, but later I learned that the developer that added that code also had a pattern of appending spaces to the start and end of user input and comparing the length to 2 to determine whether the value was empty or not...

So I'm fairly sure "that hasn't happened yet" was probably more a case of "that I personally haven't introduced unnecessarily yet" :)
