Much cheaper to make it better at avoiding falling down the stairs (I've had two for years and they have never fallen down stairs). This is about as practical as the idea elsewhere in this topic that the roadster could avoid high speed collisions by boosting out of the way.

"Eating" grapes are mostly not optimized for eating, they are optimized for shipping and lifetime at the supermarket. Wine grapes taste great, but don't travel well (and have bigger seeds, smaller fruit, etc.). American supermarkets sell mostly seedless grapes, which don't taste great, but are easy to eat and to give to kids.

Maybe not for western carmakers, but if BYD was allowed to sell a $20-25k EV in the US, it would sell like crazy (and not just to the HN crowd).

"Intentional"- an LLM can't have intent. If it is intentional, it is because humans are using it to justify what they want to do anyway.

Eagerly awaiting your robot plumbing startup. I highly doubt anything in plumbing is compute-limited.

Is this true? If so, does it mean anything? Sure, it is tokenized in processing (tokens don't really have an alphabet either), but this means it did not correctly parse the problem at all if this is the case.

It is remarkable that some countries actually have switched writing systems in modern times. Turkey did it in the 1920s after the fall of the Ottoman Empire, for example (replaces an Arabic alphabet with a Roman one).

Steve Jobs didn't foresee that Americans would basically only buy trucks (and SUVs) in 20 years. You can barely buy a sedan in the US anymore.

Maybe small phones are like sedans, and the bigger and bigger iPhones are the trucks? Take this analogy where you will.

> Arch Linux with Hyprland (I use Xorg/i3 though), fully riced with cats

I think I lack the vocabulary to understand "fully riced with cats" in context here.

> I do not see problems with fake ad clicks and have no sympathy for ad companies.

I am not shedding any tears for the ad companies, but I don't exactly expect or want a consumer device to be doing this in the background without the owner's knowledge.
