This is a smart solution, thanks - we like the ease of use that Stripe offers, but there are probably just as feasible providers we can use and save the money!

Will do - I can remember trying at one point in the past, but won't hurt to contact them and explain again!

Check your inboxes/mailboxes. You likely have 15+ unwanted pieces of communication from charities this time of year. We built Silent Donor so you could keep the impact of your donations, and also keep your privacy. In an era where personal data is commodified and privacy is hard to come by, Silent Donor offers a simple solution: you can send a fully anonymous, tax-deductible donation to any charity. If you’re concerned about avoiding relentless follow-up requests, protecting yourself from public scrutiny, or simply valuing your right to privacy, we let you focus on what truly matters — making an impact.

Today is a big day for giving - and also a big day for finding out that your email address is on a bunch of different charity/nonprofit organization's email lists.

If you want to give back, but also want to maintain your privacy (ie to avoid ending up on those charity outreach lists), use Silent Donor to send a fully anonymous, tax-deductible donation to any registered charity or nonprofit. You can also give to crowdfunding campaigns anonymously.

Keep the impact of your donation, and also keep your privacy (your home's mailbox and email inbox will thank you).

We represent the easiest way for you to give private donations by utilizing a uniquely designed donor advised fund - there is no account creation or lengthy registration process. Just fill out our short donation form to have a wonderful, anonymous impact on a nonprofit organization of your choice! We contact you after we have successfully sent your donation to the org you specify to us on our donation form.

Give back - privately. www.silentdonor.com

Send an anonymous donation to your alma mater - and stay off of annoying email lists.

Also just a thought - consider offering online training classes to prospective yoga instructors. Maybe you can attract a more well-known yoga teacher in this regard, which will increase the attraction. You can charge people to learn from a popular yoga master (unsure of the industry terms in this space so I'll stick with 'yoga master'). Hope you continue to navigate through this tough situation!

It is still clearly a good thing. Even by your own account - until the tax system is taxing "people appropriately", this is the way that wealthy donors give back. I think you and many people who share your opinion have a distaste for the current way taxes are levied, but that distaste should not manifest itself in shaming public donors for giving back.
