Chime | Senior Application Security Engineer, Product Security Engineer, Manager - Product Security | San Francisco / Chicago / New York | Hybrid

I’m an Engineering Manager in Security at Chime, and we’re actively hiring for three roles on our broader Product Security org:

Senior Application Security Engineer: https://careers.chime.com/jobs/8373535002/senior-application...

Product Security Engineer: https://careers.chime.com/jobs/8141068002/product-security-e...

Manager - Product Security: https://careers.chime.com/jobs/8526680002/manager-product-se...

Chime is a financial technology company focused on helping everyday Americans unlock financial progress. We built Chime on the premise that core banking services should be helpful, easy, and free, and our security teams play a direct role in protecting the products and infrastructure that members rely on.

Our Product Security org works across application and infrastructure security, security design and architecture reviews, and vulnerability management. We partner closely with engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate risk early, with an emphasis on making security practical, embedded in everyday development, and useful to the teams building Chime’s products. If you’re excited about being on the front lines of securing both AI and financial technology, this is a particularly interesting place to do that work. We currently have Senior Application Security Engineer, Product Security Engineer, and Manager - Product Security open.

If none of those are quite the right fit, feel free to apply anyway! We expect to open more security roles in the near future across a range of experience levels and specializations.

Today it's 996 and there will probably be bonuses and rewards when it initially is introduced for those working more. However give it a few years, those rewards go away, 996 is the norm. Then give it a few more years and they are asking for 997, or 8-10 7 days a week.

Normalizing this behavior is the short term goal, the longer term goal is returning to indentured servitude.

Awesome, these are exactly what I mean! Even if I don't attend to apply, they are usually really fun to do.

Employee number 4 at a very small startup in the bay area. 1% equity slightly after seed. I have been at a few startups which are more commonly .1 - .5%. I was very appreciative of the amount and hope it will pay off in the long run.
