I mean that we are right to fear something that makes us confront a difficult part of our self.
Learning is painful and hard. It is rational to fear those lessons. But to run from them means lacking courage and it is this courage that is behind any true greatness in the world.
Thanks for commenting btw
If anyone has read April Rain Tree. Well that was a Metis author. You can't judge a book by its cover. So I get being held two steps back and what trauma does to opportunity.
I think there are better ways to support experience specific generational understanding/education with then segregated environments.
Perhaps focusing speakers that cover challenged and topics of interest is better then reducing intercultural exposure?
Rethorical devices would still maintain the greatest power. You don't need information just conviction and resources.
I think it is related to whole 'the meek shall inherent earth' way of thinking. Which is a whole other debate if we get into the gospels of Matthew, Luke and Q issue.
Which if you follow the logic of the statement to Matthew 5:3 it related more to an understanding of poverty and conduct. Ironically very much in line with something Marcus Aurelius would say.

So I get the confusion, because I used to make the same error.
If your ambition is to troll someone, that is your maximum value. I think if you look deeply many will realize that this is not the value they want. I believe that they can dream of something greater then to harass someone online.
If anything it is reminder to avoid being trivial. Ambition leads action. This cycle is who you are. It is beautiful self awareness.
There are dollars in spectacle but in the end twitter, fb, reddit or HN are inferior tools because of this.
Like voluntary enfranchisement. Or just the general negative reaction of many Canadians against anything Aboriginal. It is all cut your hair and act like us.
