Same, but I would be very surprised since they have not done so already. I will settle for a better color screen.

For the cash back sites, I have a separate Firefox profile that uses a public DNS over HTTPS provider to bypass my internal DNS.

Hopefully this means a new Kobo Libra before too long.

Sony uses Google TV. Doesn't inspire trust as far as spying and data collection goes.

I have been using deSEC for a couple of years without any issues. I mostly just do not want my DNS handled by my registrar so that I can easily transfer domains without worrying about DNS as well, and I do not like how centralized the internet is becoming around Cloudflare.

Now that Fairphone officially sells phones in the United States, I am likely going to get one specifically because it supports postmarketOS. My Pinephone is so slow that I have never really used it for anything beyond testing.

The OEM is Motorola. The partnership was announced earlier this year.

You are correct about them not getting early access from Google. There was a post within the last few months saying that Google no longer releases a lot of the code via git, but instead requires submitting a form and downloading the code via Google Drive. Google are actively trying to make third-party development difficult.

No, as Amazon bought Goodreads. Kobo did recently partner with StoryGraph though.

Not in the United States. Only the Fold still has a physical SIM slot.

The US government puts them on the list. I don't care that they are on the list, but it does mean they can't sell the devices in the United States. If that ever happened to Motorola, and there were still no other devices that Graphene OS supports, then there would be no options left.

A majority of the feeds I subscribe to do not include the full text in the feed themselves which is one of the main reasons I use Miniflux which has an option to fetch the full article text and works very reliably. Of the more than 150 feeds I am subscribed to, I think there are fewer than 5 that Miniflux is unable to fetch the text for. Miniflux can also connect to Wallabag to quickly save pages to it using the full text. That is great because Wallabag is often unable to fetch text directly on its own.

Apple TV is currently the best balance of privacy and convenience. The only way to get more private is using a PC, but that limits the resolution for most streaming services to 720p or 1080p.

The biggest problem with self-hosting a mail server is reliably being able to send email and have it be delivered to the recipient. Something I have been thinking about setting up is self-hosting a dovecot server so that all of my emails that I receive are on my system, but using another provider for sending email. I don't send that many emails, so there is not much privacy loss in regards to a third-party being able to see my sent emails, but I still get the benefit of noone but me having access to my received emails.
