It's not stated that they used "remote" push notifications, maybe they're talking about local push notifications.

Also, I guess Apple only tried to reach the CEO because when you summit an iOS app, you have to give them the information a person to contact in case they need to. I guess they gave them the CEO information.

Finally I couldn't make it to that event but I went to http://groupspaces.com/WSJEurope/item/169398.

Could you drop me your email at [email protected], it would be easier to keep you posted when I hear about cool events :)

Thanks!

Yes: the iOS app and the server side in a weekend (and one day actually).

I'm doing mobile app development for now 2 years (and other programming stuff for 5 years) so I guess that I managed to do it in a weekend thanks to my experience.

I created quickly that iOS app to try the awesome API of face.com. The result is pretty funny.

Hi Benjamin,

Next month will be the Dublin Web Summit (http://www.dublinwebsummit.com/), it's going to be very interesting.

Also if you are looking for a hacker place, you can have a look at tog (http://www.tog.ie/), I've never been there but it looks pretty good.

Let me know if you want more details :) Cheers
