it's fine if they don't want to release open source, but if they're not going to, they shouldn't say that's what they're doing

it’s a shortening of elsewise, an obsolete phrasing of otherwise

english inherited this from latin

oh no :(

oh, hacker news, where someone will act like a ten person shop with a seven million dollar computer might be indie

it’s a headless agent in the cloud that you can task with long running jobs

think of things that need rvent handlers or web hooks

i think that people should reflect extremely carefully on whether they want to be the person following this line of logic publicly

i don’t like the common programmer behavior of doubting things we don’t want to face while requesting speculation on easily available data

making a list like this is hard in ways that most of us will never understand

if you aren’t a victim then you’re the guy who loudly doubts victim self defense

“we can force them to pay for free”

my beloved surface duo has returned <3

wow, in 150 years we find a handful of things much smaller than what has happened in the last 2 years

the whisky ring is definitely relevant to a discussion of today’s problems

this isn’t a ridiculous padded list of whataboutism

i’m a day or two from releasing my programming language’s new mcp

if it does, that fork is dead by the end of the year

i don’t think you understand just how niche you already are

notice how mainstream those projects aren’t

this article is about the flood of junior developers who are producing enormous prs they’ve never seen full of untrustworthy code that a human hasn’t evaluated

arguing that it’s possible to make them by hand isn’t just missing the point; it’s missing the entire discussion

it seems to me like we care about absolutely anything other than the one really important thing right now
