Hey this is not on topic but still relevant to the people in this thread.

I want to start reading again from physical books. I’ll admit I’ve used Anna’s Archive a lot more than I should ethically.

Share your favourite books if you care to. I used to be a voracious reader consuming 10+ books a week. Books were my escape. I’m constantly looking for books to read as I have the unfortunate tendency to finish them in one sitting.

I’ve found such places on Telegram but that platform seems to be loosing popularity. It also has been overrun with unsavoury characters.

It’s not proven but highly expected that it was someone pulling strings as some sort of revenge for other situations.

It’s suggested that Ferrari was behind this. As he really upset them.

I’ve learned a lot of people just don’t know what they are talking about as everyone’s situations are different.

However my construction experience affords me the opportunity to get a good paying job anywhere in Canada. I do not work in construction because I don’t like it. I will venture to say that many people do not have the physical ability to do some of these jobs.

However I think electrical is not really on the ladder of difficult physical jobs when it comes to blue collar work. It’s the most white collar ish job in the blue collar world.

As someone who uses this feature I never send messages from a hide my email address as I only use it for random email signups. Am I still at risk of having my email exposed??? It’s also handy for using for free trials lol.

I do think that there should be a mix of learning opportunity as some students do better with different types of instruction.

Some can read the textbook and just get it. Some need to talk about the subject.

Some need to ask a lot of questions.

There are so many factors that are at play. Structure is good it gives clear expectations. Students typically strive to meet clear objectives. If there is no clear objective they often struggle to achieve much.

A child’s home life plays largely into their ability to learn. Sleep and nutrition. Stress levels.

You can see it in a student if a family member is ill or if they have some sort of stress or struggles at home. They don’t perform at the level they would otherwise.

For some students grasping basic mathematics for is difficult. They can memorize the steps of solving certain problems but there is a disconnect between what they are doing and how it can be applied to other problems. These students can be sometimes helped with kinaesthetic learning. Suddenly when you are manipulating real things it makes sense.

I would say too much focus is put on teachers in a way as parents have nearly the same amount of input into a child’s learning process.

Do they respect and listen to the teacher. Are they showing up to school ready to learn and listen.

Teachers are not parents. They do sometimes fill that role or try to fill the void left by parents but this is not something teachers can realistically do for all of their students and stay mentally well.

I used to quote jobs when I worked for a different solar outfit. This was in a completely different part of my country and is a completely different market. I did the pricing myself yes.

I have noticed a significant increase in wattage of solar modules in the last six years. I have been out of the business for those years.

Well open source AutoSteer exists it has a lot of features like rate control built in to it. The system is called AgOpenGPS it’s very popular for retrofitting older equipment with modern technology.

I don’t teach in a public school but we use tech to a very limited extent in my k-9 school grades 7-9 will be taking a computer skills course next year. We currently teach touch typing to grades 8 and 9. Everything else is pencil and paper. I think present day children are exposed to tech in non productive way ie mobile devices.

The number of kids who don’t know how to operate a mouse and keyboard is wild. Things like double clicking are quite difficult for some. It’s quite interesting honestly.
