“Junior” is the wrong distinction to make. I’ve recently worked with senior engineers who are terrible at wielding agents, and recent grad engineers who multiple themselves 100x. The main way I look for software engineers now are:

- Deep curiosity and ability to absorb new information quickly - Evidence of ability to wield and coordinate agents to the max - Ability to clearly communicate ideas

You have these skills, you can conquer the software world.

These guys are awesome and I’m really impressed. The model alone looks great (according to benchmarks), and very cool they’ve done so much in building out the harness of top of it all.

This feels very impactful for national security and corporate espionage.

Diabolical timing. Incredible. Too bad it requires mirroring GitHub.

I like the story, I really can’t stand the way you used AI to write this. The story is great! But I genuinely cannot tell what you actually think. Too much over-wording and cheesy phrasing.

Damn! If a solo engineer can do this, it makes the most around OAI/Anthropic start to look pretty weak.

Now you’re the product three times: you pay, they steal your dada, they show you ads. Have to make money somehow

If you choose to be public (small % of accounts), this can happen anyways. I don’t see it as a big problem

Really interesting point if true. Makes sense to me, and I’m sure the team is trying to solve it

I see a world soon where there’s an extremely wide variety of small models for speculative decoding, unique to use cases, companies, and even individuals.

The giants knew this was coming, and soon 95% of AI tasks will be able to be done by open models (coding, research, cowork style work). So why pay a premium? Why use them at all? This leaves the labs with two options:

1) push the frontier in a way only massive scale can, and cash in on it (mythos level cyber security, recursive training, frontier science work). There’s big money for never before possible capabilities.

2) own the app layer with their edge in reputation and powered by their infrastructure. Be apple where everyone else is Linux. Do design, coding, research, SMBs, legal, finance, healthcare and more (they are doing all of this).

Will it be enough to justify a Google level valuation? We’ll see how fast they can push it.

This is really cool. Can imagine vibe creating scenes quickly. If the animation was a bit smoother, I could see this being used all over.
