Because of the DRAM shortage, not anytime soon. But if you’re willing to pay for inference somewhere else, Deepseek Flash 4.1 is good enough [1]. It might be going to be extra cheaper soon, too [2].

This knowledge has always been present in the product’s documentation. What you needed for learning is a chatbot, not general-purpose probabilistic automation which acts as a conversation simulator.

Mozilla employees up until recently (2024), and research literature, seem to be calling them throbbers as well.
Anecdotally, I’ve only ever heard non-frontend developers call them “spinners”.
Maybe starting a discussion on the articles’ talk page could elicit some change? Language evolves, after all.

Nope! Claude is even able to understand AsciiDoc just fine (which is a blessing). But it will always insist on the Markdown extension.

There are plenty of programs on Git forges which aim at not using dependencies. We do not need to wait centuries for it to happen.

Disabled (French “RQTH”). I probably can’t make it past the usual hiring process because of that.
My favorite tools: NixOS, Elixir, Tailscale, Zsh, NeoVim, Blender, ffmpeg.
I also like poker and video science (gamma transfer functions, timecode, etc.).
