I hope this helps, though I don't follow this advice for economic reasons: - Have a silent and private place for you to work - Have zero distractions - Leave your phone out of that room where you work - Block youtube and social networks. - Use the Pomodoro technique. Work 25 minutes, rest 5, repeat. - Every few pomodoro cycles, take a break, check your social media, then get back. - The time you are at work, focus 100% on getting as much done in the least time possible. - When you have accomplished some significative progress, take a rest, pat yourself in the back. - When you feel anxious, take a deep breath or meditate.

I applied to Amazon, and studied Algo for 6 months. I practiced all of the algo questions in GlassDoor, and all of the algo books I could find. I wasn't able to make it though :( As other people mentioned, you have very few chances because those companies value that kind of interview questions more than quality engineering. But please, give it a try, practice LEET code 24/7, and you might be able to make it! NEVER GIVE UP! Those 6 months of preparation for Amazon helped me land better jobs at better companies in the future. So that time is well spent.

tobinharris thank you so much for your great comment and advice! I imagine it is very hard managing such a large agency. I'll take your advice into account when starting.

stef25, thank you for your comment and hints! I think that I always try to "underpromise & overdeliver.", I've learned it the hard way. I like your advice or hosting their project, for having a steady recurring income.

tluyben2 thanks for your tip. Setting boundaries is very important, and not allowing bigger companies to squeeze you is also important.

Good point, I guess I would code, just in a lesser amount, and focus more on the big picture.
