Reminded me of this Amazon video about life as an SDE:

All of them seem tired, with strong dark circle under their eyes.

You have to closely monitor the suspect once you've identified them to be a credible threat.

How do you track their whereabouts and communication channels if everything is encrypted?

Sounds like a nightmare. I'm very social but despise the constant efforts to add extra social fluff (team lunches, movies, etc.), much rather prefer learning on my own and don't like "startup culture". I want to work how I want to, where I want to, whenever I want to, no ridiculous team ceremonies, no useless meetings. I just want to do an excellent job and go home early.

It's just work.

How prevalent is it? Any examples when a breach has had a real, significantly damaging impact on an average person?

Quoted from the article:

> We need to address the undervaluing of HTML and CSS for what it is: gender bias.

I find it baffling how some people can make such ridiculous statements to fit their narrative and insecurities.

Where do you guys come from? How do you know all this stuff?

It's so interesting and I'm often surprised at the diversity of knowledge, experience and backgrounds on HN. For even the most esoteric of subjects folks here will have interesting input. I love to try and experiment, and like people who are passionate about things.

Just wanted to get it off my chest. I love this place and it makes me appreciate life and its peculiarities more. When I was in high school I dreaded only observing greasy nerds interested in techy stuff. It's been a while but HN has really shown a different side of the world to me.

Thanks!
