State of art ai shouldn't beat me in court. I want a better lawyer to beat me in court. I want a human judge who has experience to "judge" between the two sides, based on evidence and arguments and law. Thats all I am asking. Is that too much?

If there is an opposing state of art ai, I would deploy my own so who wins?

I am using Claude, my opponent is using Claude, judge is using Claude so what are we even doing?

I don't get it.

I am a lawyer myself. I recently had an order that practically looks and smells ai generated.

I sent the output to Turnitin and it returned almost every line turned out ai generated.

Heck, 4 paragraphs were the same text reworked as a filler.

I filed a second appeal and the case has not been picked up.

My question is, if the judge is using an ai to decide a case, and the judge has outsourced their "judgement" to ai, I, as a lawyer should be able to influence that.

One could argue " well that's the judge's discretion, who decides" but I don't.

When I appear for a client before a judge, I "expect" that judge to apply their own mind, and only their own mind without any bias. Judge offloading their rights imo renders them biased and I should be able to influence the other person (or the ai)

Not that I have done it before. Just saying

I'm an open source contributor.

The mod is overreacting. By this logic, Linux kernel is banned on the sub...

This is ridiculous and it would be reverted. I'm sure of it. They can't have this long term

Lawyer here. Thisis correct but it highlights an important aspect if the thing that I am actively trying to pursue.

Garbage in, garbage out. Right, everyone knows this.

So, my question is, if I redline a document, I don't just see what's there but also what is missing. Ai generally only work with what's avoailavle and unless you specifcally ask for it, it wont question it.

Take a rental agreement for example. I have tested this before, gave a redlining task whatever, and the draft did not have either a start date clause or a period Claude and none flagged it.

A lawyer would find this easily.

What I am trying to say is, among other things, you get a DMCA notice for example and you use Claude to file a reply, it will find all the proper citations, statutes, etc but if the other side didnt invoke a point, Claude will have no way to object to that because it isn't in the notice.

That is my only issue.

The problem compounds, if a person later reviews it, they skim over because they expect other people to have done their job first....

I am at 340+ subs and rate limits happen very rarely.

I have had this issue few times on a specific wifi router (different router on same line doesn't) so don't know exactly.

Not from USA so forgive my ignorance.

Shouldn't the obvious solution be to fix the "permitting requirements" rather than spend 6x on building kn undeveloped land?

Should the purpose of laws to serve the people rather than to tiptoe around laws and claiming "be we have strict zoning laws"?

Why is there a law that you yourself call "insane"?

I'm a lawyer myself.

I see problems in LLMs doing research, making drafts, etc.

I see 3 kinds of potential users.

1. Non legal background people trying to avoid going to a lawyer. They should definitely NOT use an LLMs.

2. Fresh out of law school graduates.

They think they can do fast work, draft quick replies, do fast case research, enh. They should go the traditional route of interning, learning the "art", they probably won't need it because they will learn "how the law works"

3. Established attorneys. They usually have templates made for most things, over their career, they have established routines of making things fast, maybe it can help them but to say replacing good chunk of work or offloading to LLMs isn't probably going to go well.

There is a reason why interns are made to do grunt work. The "chain of command" is built so they learn on basic stuff, learn to make decisions, etc. Without these basic decisions under their belt, an intern can't take bigger decisions later on. They just won't know....

The classic "democracy" and "freedoms" paradox.

Iran for example is accused of silencing critics, when everyone else does so as a "normal thing" but Iran is the boogeyman.

I can only imagine the level of propaganda by Israel in trying to downplay their heinous crimes....

The big deal is, having talked to security people, they are "fine" with WhatsApp because the theory is, they get data from whatsapp so they have some sort of backdoor access. They are pretty chill with WhatsApp which id unexplainable
