AirBnBs are often booked in high season when finding alternative last-minute cheap accommodation is challenging (you can see a story about this in this very discussion). So, already at your stage "you complain to Airbnb support, get your money back, get a different Airbnb", the traveler's holiday is ruined, and the host being removed from the platform is cold comfort.
