I’m resigning myself to similar feelings. Mourning the loss of programmer and code writing as a practical thing to do (or encourage my children to do), while accepting this next phase of technological advancement.
Most programmers probably don’t care about programming. There has been a never ending stream of libraries and frameworks to allow programmers to do less of it.
But it’s not stopping. It’s not slowing down. I don’t have to like it, but I’m not going to have any impact on the transition.
