Indeed, people tell me that 4K/144Hz 28" IPS is overkill and yeah I can see it, 2560x1440 would be acceptable but my eyes aren't what they where and I'm astigmatic and a decent quality IPS for something I stare at for hours a day is well worth the (slight) cost premium over 1440.
