Also, an existing repo that has been cloned over https can be converted to use ssh:

    ~ $ git remote -v
    origin https://github.com/mycompany/myproject.git (fetch)
    origin https://github.com/mycompany/myproject.git (push)
    ~ $ git remote remove origin
    ~ $ git remote add origin [email protected]:mycompany/myproject.git
    ~ $ git remote -v
    origin [email protected]:mycompany/myproject.git (fetch)
    origin [email protected]:mycompany/myproject.git (push)
